About HideMeGuide

HideMeGuide is a free directory of step-by-step guides for getting your personal information removed from people-search sites ("data brokers").

What we do

One page per broker, built around the broker's own official opt-out page.
For each broker we list what it asks for (email, profile URL, date of birth and so on), the expected time, and how often listings return, and we say where each fact came from.
Every page has a "last verified" date. If we could not verify something, the page says so instead of guessing.

Current status: we have no active affiliate relationships, and no link on this site earns us a commission today. If that changes, links will be marked and this page will be updated.
Services mentioned: Optery, Incogni, DeleteMe. They appear as an option for people who would rather pay for a service than do the steps themselves. Being mentioned is not an endorsement; we have not tested them.
DIY comes first. Every guide gives you the free, do-it-yourself steps before any mention of a paid service. You never need to pay to remove your own listing from these brokers.
Commissions will not change what a guide says about a broker's opt-out process.

Opting out removes your listing from that broker only. It does not remove the public records the broker collected it from, so listings can come back.
We are not affiliated with any broker or privacy service, and we are not lawyers. HideMeGuide has no connection to the Hide.me VPN. This is general information, not legal advice.
Brokers change their forms. Always follow the broker's own page if it differs from ours, and email us so we can fix it.
